General Information

  • Demonstrating Community Need

As part of the Affordable Care Act, non-profit hospitals complete a community needs health assessment (CHNA) every years. Hospitals must collect input from the community, adopt a plan to address community needs and then report on these activities. Wills Memorial Hospital has now completed two CHNA reports.

In 2013 and again in 2016, a CHNA was conducted and identified the greatest health needs in our community. The CHNA reports include a comprehensive assessment of the Lincoln, Taliaferro, and Wilkes Counties.

  • Indigent Care:

Wills Memorial Hospital is a non-profit critical access hospital that focuses on providing complete medical care for Wilkes, Lincoln, and Taliaferro residents. One of the ways that we meet our non-profit mission is to offer financial assistance to those who qualify for our indigent care assistance.

If you believe that the cost of care provided by Wills Memorial Hospital will cause financial hardship, complete an APPLICATION FOR INDIGENT CARE ASSISTANCE. The amount of indigent care to be made available shall be determined by the hospital on a case by case basis, with appropriate written documentation and approvals. For more information about our indigent care assistance, call 706.678.9333.
