COVID-19 Screening Policy for Outpatient Surgery

All patients will be screened prior to the procedure. Patients will be instructed to inform the Outpatient Surgery Department if they experience any COVID symptoms within 14 days prior to procedure. If patients experience symptoms they will be tested for COVID or the procedure will be canceled.

COVID-19 VACCINES

Everyone five years of age and older is eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at no cost. Although three COVID-19 vaccines are authorized, COVID-19 mRNA vaccines (Pfizer or Moderna) are preferred. Additional vaccine guidance may be here.

 

A COVID-19 vaccine booster is also recommended after completing the primary COVID-19 vaccination series for everyone ages 12 years and older. Some individuals may be eligible to receive two boosters. Learn more about COVID-19 vaccine boosters and if you are eligible here.
